Notes:
Katie died as an infant. I'd seen a listing somewhere of early deaths in Michigan... I wasn't able to confirm Katie was Mathias and Elizabeth's child until I'd seen the headstone at Riverside Cemetary in Albion, MI. The headstone reads, "Katie Dau. of M & E Kimmer" and provides the dates of her life.

Infant mortality rates were very high before the 1940's, and my research in our family is confirming that most families lost a child to childhood diseases.
