(Obituary from the Jackson Sentinal.) Passed away at Foote Hospital July 31, 2006. Born September 3, 1923, in Pennsylvania, Jean grew up in Jackson. She served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. After the war, she came back to Jackson to meet and marry her husband of more than 56 years, Chuck Kulchinski. Jean was a homemaker who enjoyed astrology, bingo, traveling and collecting dolls. She was very proud of the fact that she was from a Marine Corps family as both she and her husband and her two sons all proudly served in The Corps. Predeceased by her husband and son, Patrick. She is survived by her son, Mike and his wife, Kathy; brother, Bob Chaffee; grandchildren, Megan and Jim O'Dowd, Steve Kulchinski, Caitlin Wykoff, all of Jackson, Casey and Linsay Wykoff of 29 Palms, CA; and great-grandchildren, Brendan and Allison O'Dowd, also of Jackson; and good friends, Del and Betty Losey. Mrs. Kulchinski is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens.
