Notes:
The length of her name says it all. Annie was apparently a very proper Edwardian English woman. We have a picture of her, and she does look very confident.
Annie traveled to America with her beau's mother, Maria Humphrey. They traveled from Southampton to New York aboard the Philadelphia. Unlike her future husband, Annie and Maria traveled second class. The ship's manifest part 1 and part 2 are viewable. She's listed as being a "domestic"... not sure if she used to be a servant or not. She lists her father, Abraham Searl of 76 Haydon Rd. Wimbledon as being her next of kin from where she came, but lists Philip as the person to contact in America. Her hair and eyes were both brown and she stood 5'5. She'd have been 28 at the time she emigrated.
Her obituary states she died suddenly at home and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Albion.
