He was born April 22, 1920 to Sylvester and Irene Chaffee in Jackson, Michigan.
Albert, known as "Red, was in the Marine Corps before and during World War II.
He married Constance Elaine Mulvany on Dec. 25, 1942 in Fredricksburg, Virginia.
They had two children, Richard Franklin Chaffee born on May 1, 1942 in Jackson, Michigan and a daughter Kathleen Ann Chaffee born on May 7, 1949.
After the war, Red became a Jackson Policeman. He joined the National Guard and before he passed away, he retired as a Leut. Co. from the Michigan Establishment. He was also a former Commander of the V. F. W., a member of the Jackson Lodge No. 17 F and AM, Jackson Commander No. 9, the Moslem Shrine and a member of Arbor Grove Congressional Church. He was also emplyed in supervision by the Clark Equipment Co. of Jackson.
He passed away Easter Sunday April 10, 1977. He is buried in the Old Rugged Cross section in Roseland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Mich.
